I'm trying to write a simple app that lets a user grant my code permission to write to her page's Facebook stream. As I understand it, it should be as easy as:

Have the user click on a button that launches a popup containing the a page in my Facebook app.
In that page, they click on something that grants stream_publish to my app and assigns that permission to their page.
Window closes, I now have all the info I need to run a script in cron to push stuff to that page's stream."

Naturally, a scientist must predict what she expects, not what would surprise her, so the scientific prediction here is that the US will not attack Iran.

But can we think of an alternative reason, then, for all this media noise concerning Iran’s nukes?

Yes: I believe the point of this is to produce a diplomatic effort to strip Israel of its nuclear arsenal.

I think there are a couple of benchmarks we've set for ourselves during the course of this campaign. On [domestic] policy, have we helped this economy recover from what is the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression? Have we instituted financial regulations and rules of the road that assure this kind of crisis doesn't occur again?

Have we created jobs that pay well and allow families to support themselves? Have we made significant progress on reducing the cost of health care and expanding coverage?

Have we begun what will probably be a decade-long project to shift America to a new energy economy? Have we begun what may be an even longer project of revitalizing our public-school systems so we can compete in the 21st century? That's on the domestic front.

On foreign policy, have we closed down Guantánamo in a responsible way, put a clear end to torture and restored a balance between the demands of our security and our Constitution? Have we rebuilt alliances around the world effectively? Have I drawn down U.S. troops out of Iraq, and have we strengthened our approach in Afghanistan — not just militarily but also diplomatically and in terms of development?

And have we been able to reinvigorate international institutions to deal with transnational threats, like climate change, that we can't solve on our own?"

Around 250 vehicles from GM’s “Heritage Collection,” will be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson, with the first lots going on Jan. 13 in Scottsdale, Ariz., and the second hitting the block in April in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Don’t think that GM is parting with the family jewels to pay the mortgage. Though insiders can’t recall such a big chunk of the collection being sold at once, 25% of the total, most of the vehicles are special show cars and one-offs that GM snapped together for the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Assn. (SEMA) shows over the years, as well as some classic production cars that were duplicates of models GM still has.
Of interest to some bargain-hunting curiosity seekers, too, are some examples of GM design failures. As one GM executive told me off the record, “These are mostly cars that current management [probably product boss Bob Lutz and design chief Ed Welburn] don’t much care for.”
The real family jewels aren’t going anywhere, even if one, like the first off-the-line 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado or 1938 Buick Y-Job, might bring as much cash as 10 or 20 of the cars being sold off."

How about if GM started producing affordable cars, that get good gas mileage, that are loaded with all the latest safety equipment like traction control, ABS and stability control. I suppose now might be a geat time to state that I am not an MD, and am not making any official dietary reccomendations here. My hope is simply to educate the reader using relatively easy (non-technical) terminology.
Llow-carb diets are dietary programs that restrict carbohydrate consumption usually for weight control. Foods high in digestible carbohydrates (e.g. breads, pasta) are limited or replaced with foods containing a higher percentage of proteins and fats (e.g. meats, soy products) and often other foods low in carbohydrates (e.g. green leafy vegetables).

Major Conflict: "having a hard time understanding how Americans think anymore.

Not all Americans, of course. I can relate to my fellow Democrats
and I understand hardcore Republicans who will always support
whatever candidate is most likely to promote the needs of the
military-industrial complex.

But the swing voters and perpetually undecideds and independents
are a real puzzle. They seem to be totally disconnected from
our nation's recent history and who was responsible for the
good times and who was responsible for the bad times.

The last seven and a half years have been a real mess and we've had a Republican president. No matter how many times John McCain uses the word 'maverick' per hour, doesn't it
seem only fair he (being the GOP nominee) should have to shoulder some of the blame for the problems his party has caused?

And on the flip side, shouldn't the Democrats (especially Obama)
get some credit for belonging to the party of Bill Clinton...
a leader who presided over our last era of peace and prosperity?

We know we need to watch our thoughts because thoughts can turn into real things through a relatively easily understood path. Sometimes even with our predictive powers we can bring negative results upon ourselves. This weekend I had taken my daughter to one of these rock climbing walls and was truly taken aback by what one grandfather was telling his grandson.

The man was telling the young boy, who was having trouble climbing the wall. Of course you want be able to climb it. You just can't do it. He went on to deride the child telling him how worthless he was etc. I wanted to make sure he did not say anything to my daughter. The problem is predictions can be powerful.

Luckily just like negative predictions can have disastrous results, so too positive predictions can have beneficial results.

Ideas are great, ideas are valuable. I have thousands of ideas each day. What is the idea of an idea. An idea is some unique way of viewing something. You might have a great idea about how to make money. Here you are on the world wide web, reading one of my blogs, and you may well have it in mind to make some money on the web. Then one might wonder if the author of this blog has some sort of secret on how to make money on the web, then how come the author of this blog is not himself doing that thing which produces income.

The answer to that question is quite a slippery slope indeed. The main answer to the question is that there are some very special skills and abilities that I have. However there are other skills and abilities that other people have. I need to find the other people who have the skills and abilities which I lack, and those very same people should be looking to enlist me to accomplish their goals.

This very important secret to obtaining wealth is called collaboration.

That may have been one way to flip cards, and I do remember seeing this method used, but that was not the true, adrenalin rush producing high stakes, baseball card flipping that I am talking about here.

The girls were no where to be found amongst the baseball card flipping circles. They were somewhere on the periphery playing with their jacks, jump rope, or some kind of sing song hand clapping games that included lyrics about doctors, lawyers, indian chiefs. It really was not correct to be liking girls at this point anyway, so lets get back to the real excitement, the baseball card flipping."
